Mary Margaret Grand

Mary Margaret Grand, 101, of LaGrange, passed away August 4, 2023, her wedding anniversary, surrounded by family.  She was born March 10, 1922, to the late William and Barbara (nee Finnerty) Shanley in Chicago.  Beloved wife of the late Eugene P. Grand for 55 wonderful years.  Loving mother to the late John (Julie), Barbara (the late Tom) Sheridan, Kate, Dan (Jamie), Maureen, Sue (Patrick) Baker, Patty (Bruce) Gauen, the late Eugene, the late Patricia; Proud Grandmother to 21 grandchildren and Great Grandmother to 11; Cherished sister to the late Charles (Bette) Shanley, and the late John (Kathleen) Shanley, and the late James Shanley.  Her loving caretaker, Angelica Rojas, also became a member of the family in the past 2 years. She devoted her life to her faith and family.  Visitation 10 a.m. until time of funeral mass at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9 at St. Francis Xavier Church, 124 N. Spring Ave., LaGrange.  Internment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph in LaGrange Park are appreciated. https://csjoseph.org.
