Gloria D. Kratochvil, age 94, of LaGrange. Beloved wife of the late Frank Jr. for over 63 years. Loving mother of Carol (Thierry) Bernard and Karen (Daniel) Claffy. Cherished grandmother of Alex (Caitlynn) Bernard, Chloé Bernard, and Cole Claffy. Fond great-grandmother of Adéline Bernard.

Gloria was a friend to all who met her. Her early career path as an executive secretary for Sears changed after time off to have her children. She became 7^th Avenue School office assistant for several years, a temp secretary for Electro-Motive, and secretary for TAD office all nearby to her girls while in school. She was assistant Brownie & Girl Scout Leader for a time, helped with school holiday and social functions, and loved visiting animals at the zoo.

She kept in touch with several friends from school years and work, in earlier years going dancing, golfing, taking part in periodic picnics and outings, later switching to a short period of volleyball, book clubs, but a long-time super bowler on teams until a shoulder injury limited her play.  She loved life and was so happy to be able to see her grandchildren grow and flourish.
