Daniel Rock Flynn, July 19, 1947 – April 4, 2024; Dan grew up in the Back of the Yards with his parents, Rock and Rose, older sister, Ginger, and little sister, Karry.  When he was a senior at De La Salle, he met Kathie, the love of his life.  Dan and Kathie married on July 12, 1969.  Dan followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the Plumbers Local 130.  With Dan’s skills, Dan and Kathie built two houses together that provided the foundation for a wonderful life.  While living in their first house in Justice, their two kids, Dan and Kyleen, were born.  The family later moved to their second house in Countryside where Dan and Kathie welcomed their grandkids, Lily, Cole, and Finn.  Dan will always be loved and remembered for his brilliant humor, steadfast dependability, constant beneficence, and endless love for his family and friends.  All who knew him are better for it.

Dan is survived by his wife Kathie (née Hannon), his son Dan (Sarah) Flynn, his daughter Kyleen (Jason) Flynn-Week, his sister Virginia (Bob) Lane, his grandchildren Lillian and Colin Flynn and Finnegan Flynn-Week, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Memorial Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 19 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55^th St., Countryside.  Family and friends will meet at St. Cletus Church, 600 W. 55^th St., La Grange on Saturday, April 20 for 10 a.m. mass.  Interment private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dan’s name to the American Cancer Society are greatly appreciated.
