Raymond Hill

Raymond Hill, age 86, of La Grange Park; beloved husband of Lucia; loving father of Chris (Ginger) Hill & Diane (Jim) Danbury; proud grandfather of Matthew & Andrew Danbury; pre-deceased by brother Clarence Hill, dear brother of Barbara (Ron) Humphreys; cherished son of the late Edward & the late Anna Hill; fond uncle and friend of many.

A U.S. Army Reservist, Raymond served more than 35 years on the staff of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.  An avid outdoorsman, enthusiastic gardener, and ‘Do it Yourself’ hero, Raymond could always help with your car, yard, or home.

We will always treasure his humor, his great advice, and his love.

Memorial Service Saturday, April 20, 1 pm at First United Methodist Church La Grange, 100 W. Cossitt Ave, La Grange, IL.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in Raymond’s name to American Heart Association, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or First United Methodist Church La Grange.

  1. I remember your dad fondly. Both your parents were very welcoming and kind. My condolences to all of you.

  2. It is with an empty heart knowing that my dear friend, co-worker, and former neighbor has now ventured into Heaven. May the Dear Lord grace Raymond’s presence with comforting arms.
    So many memories flood my mind at this time, sharing years of friendship since 1972 when I first was employed with the uS Postal Inspection Service. Ray was the “welcoming committee” and planted the seeds for an enduring friendship. We both helped
    “Stamp out Crime” while employed with the Postal Inspection Service. Ray and dear wife decided to follow my move to Darien, and purchased a lot In Farmingdale Heights and build their “dream home. Neighbors we became and shared the gossip and goings-on of the neighborhood.
