  2. Frank was a silent force behind so many events at St John of the Cross. He will be so missed. He was a trooper in accepting his cross and tried so hard to be brave and positive. May he rest in eternal peace. We have lost a good man. God bless all of you, his dear family, and take comfort that he was loved and is no longer in pain or worry.

  3. Frank, I’ll always remember growing up with you on Roosevelt rd. Rest in peace my friend till we meet again.

  6. Frank, you were my first “extra big brother “. You were kind, loving, protective, generous and so many other wonderful adjectives. Pat and I were lucky to have you in our lives. Rest easy my friend.

  7. Frank was so kind to my mom and our family. He was the definition of a good neighbor. I will keep Frank and his family in my prayers. Rest in Peace Frank. Our sincere condolences during this most difficult time.

  8. What a beautiful soul – I was so glad to have gotten to know Frank thru working with him on the Fest- no matter what, he was always willing to do what was needed! I am sorry for the family and our parish family as well.

  9. I know Frank from his support for-the Men’s Club activities. He was always there for us. He really helped SJC in so many ways. We will miss him but we won’t forget him! May his family know how he was so helpful to SJC, and respected by everyone who worked with him. Great Guy!

  10. I am so very sorry to hear about Frank. My deepest sympathies to his family. May the good memories of him remain in your hearts and bring smiles to your faces when you think of him.

My dad was Ed DiPompeo, the son of Marianne and Ralph who lived off of Chicago Avenue in the “old neighborhood,” not too far from the couple I knew as Uncle Frank and Aunt Christine, who, I believe, were Frank’s grandparents. I touched base with Frank a few years ago when we found each other on Facebook. Glad we had that chance to catch up on things.
