  1. Your mom and your dad were always so kind to me whenever there was a Wendt gathering on New Years at Aunt Etta’s. And whenever there was a gathering and I would see them, they were terrific. We used to run into Bobbie at musical events! How I never knew she loved the arboretum is beyond me. Howie and I have been members for fourteen years. She was loved by my mom, Virginia married to Bill Wendt and the rest of us. She was the best. Julie Wendt Brundage

  2. Our sincere condolences to all in Virginia ‘s recent passing.
She was the kindest of neighbors.
    May her memory be eternal.

  3. So very sorry for your loss. Your mom was such a nice person and will be missed. Enjoyed talking to her whenever we would see her.

  4. Ginny was high class and a woman of great kindness and faith. I always enjoyed being with her and visiting over the years of family visits, especially most recently at John’s wedding . When I have 8:00 AM tomorrow at Christ Cathedral , I will make mention of her when I celebrate Mass…

  6. Dear Wendt family,
So sorry to hear about your mom’s passing.
I grew up (the Anderson family: Ann and Andy, Kathy, Scott and me) on the same block about 3 homes south of you on Stone Ave in La Grange. What a fun family you were! Those were the days..when we played lots of baseball in the street, and lots of games all around the neighborhood!
I live in northern Wisconsin now, but was back this fall for my 50th high school reunion (at LT).
Crazy to think it’s been 50 years. I did park in front of our home (1034 Stone) and walk around the block. You were terrific neighbors!

Nancy Ryan (whose family had lived across the street from us) let me know Mrs. Wendt had passed away. May God give you His comfort… And thankfulness for the wonderful mom He gave you. Love to you all, Tina Anderson Moberg

    1. Tina,
Thank you for your lovely note. With Mom still in the house, you and your family so often came to mind whenever I was there. (I’m in St Paul, MN now.) I saw Nancy at the service. Those years were certainly formative, and I, too, have very happy memories of our times playing together.
      In appreciation,
      Claudia Wendt Vann
