Michael J. Ulch, age 67, of Downers Grove. Beloved husband of Nancy, nee Collins. Loving father of Charlie and Grace Ulch passed away Jan. 1, 2022. Mike, the cherished son of Joe (deceased) and June (Reglin) Ulch grew up in Waukegan, IL. Graduated from Creighton University with a BFA and MS Ed. and had an MBA from IU. Mike will be missed and remembered fondly by colleagues and friends for his insight, advice and sense of humor. He was a Blue Jay and Big Red fan, avid golfer, fisherman and gardener. Devoted brother of Teresa Sena of Kula, HI, Jody (John) Weiss of Deerfield, IL and Jackie Plechaty of Kenosha, WI. He will be dearly remembered by nieces, nephews and in laws. Visitation 3-8 p.m. Friday Jan. 7th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301 75th St., Downers Grove. Prayer 10:45 a.m. Saturday Jan. 8th from the funeral home to St. Mary of Gostyn Church for Mass at 11:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepluchre Cemetery. Please accept my condolences on the passing of Mike. I will remember him fondly as he always had a smile and a gentle demeanor. I am deeply sorry for your loss. While we have never met, there was a time that Mike and I were very close friends. We drifted apart as young adults but began reconnecting a few years ago. He will always hold a special place in my heart. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
