Nancy Noble

Nancy Noble died at Oak Trace Health Center in Downers Grove on August 29, 2021.  She was born on October 17, 1945, in Ottawa, Illinois.  She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Claire Pufahl, her husband Paul Noble, her stepson, Scott Noble, and her granddaughter, Theresa Noble. She is survived by her son, William Noble; her brother, William Pufahl (Sandi); her brother-in-law, Bob Noble; her stepson, David Noble; her granddaughters, Nevada Noble and Lydia Noble; her great grandchildren, Zoey Noble, Owen Lindemann, Gemma Kozil, and Bella Medlin; and numerous cousins and second cousins.

Nancy graduated from the Andrews University School of Nursing in 1966.  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from St. Francis University.  She worked for many years at Hinsdale Hospital in the ICU and CCU serving for many of those years as charge nurse.  She was also the office manager of a private practice.  She was a devoted caregiver to all her patients and loved nursing.

Visitation will take place at LaGrange Bible Church, 850 7th Avenue, LaGrange, on Friday, September 3rd from 10:00am until time of service at 11:30am. Masks are encouraged. Family and friends are invited to meet at Norway Cemetery, Marseilles at 3:00pm. The family would like to thank the staff at Oak Trace Health Center for Nancy’s care the last few years. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice in Nancy’s name is appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Hallowell & James Funeral Home at 708-352-6500.

  1. Nancy, I will miss you so much. We were best friends for over 50 years. We were nurses, mothers, grandmothers and you were a great grandmother. Stan and I have many fond and precious memories of our times spent with you and Paul. You are now peacefully resting until Jesus comes. We will see you then. 1 Thessalonians 4: 13 – 18 says it all.
