Vernon R. Ecker, age 78, of Countryside. Beloved husband of Jane Ecker (nee Gudewicz). Loving father of Michelle (Paul) Siegel and Nathan (Elizabeth) Ecker. Devoted grandfather of Rebecca, Caleb, Henry, and Isaac. Dear brother of Louise (Tom) Kingston. Fond uncle of Regina (Jason) Lappin and Jenna (Luke) Woodland. Vernon was preceded in death by his mother, Rita L. Michalski (nee Roat).
Visitation 11am to 1pm Wednesday, June 23rd at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Service will be held privately. Interment private. Funeral Home Phone: 708-352-6500
Vernon you will be surly missed. You were one of the nicest people I have ever got to meet and know. I got to marry your daughter Michelle thank you for bringing her into this world, without her I would have never got to know you. Prayers to the whole family. We will, like everyone in the family look over Jane and Nathan and his Family. (Best father in law)
To my big brother who always watched out for me. I know you still will from above. Although my heart aches I know you are in a better place and my love for you will never stop and I will always have our memories.
