Bernice Hickey (nee Grutman), age 91. Beloved wife of Eugene; devoted mother of Maureen (Charles) Marose, the late Patricia (late Ronald) Vistine, James (Leisa) Hickey, Michael Hickey, and Diane (Kevin) Kuca; cherished grandma/nana of Charles (Kristine), Tobey, Tracy (Laura), Terry, Kelly (Eduardo), Colleen (David), Thomas (Laura), Erica (Dez), Joseph, and Kaitlyn; adored great-grandmother of the late Vincent and Jeremy, Christian, Anthony, Seth, Emily, Edward, Michael, Alexander, Vaughn, Jonathan, Maggie, Melissa, and Haley; dearest daughter of the late Bernice (the late Stanley) Michalek and the late John Grutman; loving sister of her late siblings Harry, Rose, Frances, Loretta, and Emily; treasured aunt and friend of many.

Visitation Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 9:00 am until time of chapel prayers, 10:30am at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th Street, Countryside. Funeral Mass 11:00am at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 S. Wolf Road, Western Springs. All guests are required to register for Mass at: https://www.stjohnofthecross.org/funeral-mass-registration/.   4. My condolences to Bernice’s family and friends. I Will especially remember her going to the mailbox using her walker, plastic bag in hand. —One of her neighbors
