Ellen was born on June 8, 1931 in Chicago, IL, to the late Edwin and Alice Reidy. A graduate of The Academy of Our Lady (Longwood) High School. After raising her children, Ellen graduated from St. Xavier University and started a career as a Social Worker for the City of Blue Island. But her greatest joy was her husband and children. Together, they traveled the world ( over 365 total days spent cruising) and raised four children; Patricia ( Greg) LaBarge, Therese Taff, Robert (Sylvia) Klinger and Edward (Susan) Klinger. Ellen loved reading a good book, playing bridge and hosting family dinners. Her quick wit and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.
