Susan A. Duffy
Susan A. Duffy, nee Grubba, was born in Chicago, Illinois to Constance, nee Skweres, and Arthur P. Grubba. Loving sister of Cynthia Grubba, Arthur Grubba, Patti McGrew and the late Connie Grubba. She died on July 29. She was an active member of the Catholic Church her whole life. Susan was involved in the Columbia at her church in Florida, where she was a resident for the past 25 years. She always worked in sales and she was very much a people person. She leaves behind many loving friends and cousins. Visitation 9:30am until Funeral Mass at 10am Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at St. Scholastica Catholic Church, 7800 Janes Avenue, Woodridge, Illinois 60517. Interment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, Illinois. Arrangements entrusted to Hallowell & James Funeral Home, Downers Grove at 630/964-6500.
My heart is heavy on hearing of Sue’s passing. I never had the pleasure of meeting her in person but we became long distance close friends. She was one of the sweetest, most kind and caring persons whom I’ve known. We’ve spent hours on phone conversations and I will truly miss her.
To her family, I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve sent prayers for all of you.
