Margaret “Meg” Fredian

It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Margaret Alice Fredian.  Meg was unique in many ways, starting with her date of birth, a leap year baby in 1964.  Meg’s warmth, care, and love was felt by all with whom she came into contact. She was born in Rochester, New York and grew up in Palatine, Illinois. Loving wife of 39 years to Justin Fredian. Devoted mother to Alan (Gaby), Lindsey (Scott), Emily, and Kaylie, and sweet “Gammy” to two adoring grandchildren, Henry and James. Cherished sister to the late Joe (Sally), Robert (Laurel), Mary Ellen Rizzo (Sal), Thomas (Joan), Anne Miskin (Michael), Patrick, Theresa Eiden (Paul), James (Cheryl), and Michael (Nicole). Beloved Aunt to over 30 nieces and nephews.

Meg was a high school cross country and track star at Fremd High School where she was also homecoming queen.  Her talent and dedication earned her a scholarship to Loyola University Chicago where she continued to shine as a leader of the team.  She met her future husband, Justin, at Loyola and they shared all the challenges of life with vigor and compassion.

One of Meg’s greatest joys was being a nurse for 35 years.  Her knowledge, energy, and soft touch were a perfect combination, and the beneficiaries were her patients.

She did many special things in her life but she was able to shine as a most loved wife and mom, and an amazing daughter, sister, friend and, neighbor. Especially as MOM. She was everyone’s favorite. We will miss her dearly.

  13. Dear Justin and family,
When Meg started her walking club, I became a devoted member. She and I often would be the last two laughing and talking. I feel so blessed to have gotton to know her last summer. I would often talk to my family how Meg was a “mini me”…both redheads, freckles, and nurses. I am now even more grateful that I got to see her on May 17th , Pete’s Celebration of life. we hugged and I told her how excited I was as I finally retired from my nursing career as she had previously. I had my sister Kathleen take a quick pic of the two of us. I will always cherish our brief laugh filled friendship.
I send my prayers and love to all of you.

  32. Another Soldier is Coming Home!

First Lady Margaret “Meg” Fredian is a true Saint and Warrior of Love, Peace, Joy, and Happiness! In her Obituary she mentioned my wife and me when it was said that she was the best neighbor in our “Graue Mill Community”!

Meg was more than charming, considerate, charismatic, and cordial! She illuminated my world and community! I knew when I first met her that she was an Anointed Disciple of Christ!

Her beautiful daughters are cut from the same cloth! I am honored to be a small part of her story and Gospel! I am honored to have known her!

Meg leaves a magnificent legacy! I have to tell you that Justin will be OK! You see, his beautiful daughter asked me to “check on her dad!” My two daughters would have done the same thing! I am honored to be trusted with such a glorious assignment! I plan to be a surrogate for Gracie too.

Margaret “Meg” Fredian, may the Peace of the Lord remain with you for your promised Eternal Life! Vanessa and I will meet you at the “Promised Land”! ~Amen
