Eve Marie Pellettiere

Eve Marie Pellettiere (née Buell), age 81, of La Grange, died April 12, 2024. She leaves behind her loved and devoted husband of 57 years, Edmund. Preceding her in death are her parents and three brothers P.G., Monte, and most recently John. Eve is survived by her four children: Eve Perillo (Skip), Edmund III, Paula Vedok (John), & Sara; treasured are her five grandchildren, Diana, Jennifer, Isabella, Dominic, & Gabrielle; she is also survived by her brother Michael Buell.

Eve grew up in Joliet and attended Joliet Township High School where she received both academic and non-academic honors including the National Honor Society, Homecoming Queen, Blue Band Sponsor, and Cheerleader. Upon graduation from high school, she entered Presbyterian St. Luke’s Nursing School and received her RN and served as a Staff Nurse. While there, she met and married her husband (Resident Physician). Because of Vietnam, the family was stationed at the large medical center (Wright Patterson Air Force Base) in Ohio, following which the family moved to La Grange. Eve became actively involved in K-8 activities, monitoring schoolboard activities, local political and national fundraisers, plus the Scouts! Blessed with an outgoing personality and strong work ethic, she succeeded as spouse and homemaker. A mid-life epiphany caused Eve to enroll at Lewis University in Romeoville. Her being a descendant of the Mayflower (visionary) and getting a BSN (Sigma Tau Theta Honor Society), allowed her to have a more active voluntary role in the La Grange Community Nurse Programs. Hobbies included R&B music, travel, the North Woods, true crime novels, and investments.

In lieu of flowers, donations to NAMI (https://www.namichicago.org/) and the Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated.
