John Richard “Dick” Jackson: Age 91. Born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to John F. and Anna T. Jackson. Beloved husband of Carol K. Jackson for 65 years. Devoted father of Linda (John) Wheaton, Kevin (Leona), Timothy (Jill), Amy (Bob) Kintner, Michael (Julie), and Thomas (Carrie). Loving grandfather of 14 and loving great-grandfather of 2. Brother J. Daniel of Cheyenne Wy. Moved to Chicago in 1942, raised in South Shore. Graduated from Mt. Carmel H.S. Class of 1950. Graduated from St. Mary’s College in Winona, Mn. in 1954. Served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956. Graduated from DePaul Law School in 1959. Practiced law at USF&G until his retirement in 1997, after 37 years. Traveled the world with wife and friends. Visitation 3 to 9pm Wednesday, April 10 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Funeral prayers 9:30am Thursday, April 11 from the funeral home to St. Cletus Church, LaGrange. Mass 10am. Interment private.   4. Great uncle Dick wasn’t just great because he was my mom’s, Maggie (Tobin), uncle. He was a wonderful, kind and interesting man who never showed anything but love to my family during visits. So many fond memories from childhood to adulthood where I had the honor to spend time with the Jacksons. Anytime I see a piece of sea glass I think of him and this will continue to be a happy momento. Sending love and hugs to the family and especially Aunt Carol!!
