Wilburn E. “Will” Price

Wilburn E. “Will” Price, 94, proud U.S. Korean War Veteran, and a longtime resident of Lyons, passed away on December 27, 2023. Born to Bert and Ellen Price, Will was born on December 5, 1929. Beloved husband of the late Evangeline “Vangie” Price for a wonderful 69 years. Loving father of John (Marilyn) Price and Sheila (Dennis) Wessels. Proud grandfather of Michael (Elizabeth) Price, Kristen Price Cooke, and Michael Wessels. Devoted great-grandfather of Mollie, Caitlin, Max, and Conor. Cherished brother of Anita (Randall) Carrol. Dear brother-in-law of Rose Marie Benedetti and Susan (John) Lejsek. Loved uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his siblings, Jean (Lou) Colognesi, Wendell, Laverne, and Donald (Shirley).

Will graduated from Lockport High School in Lockport, IL. He was a 44-year dedicated employee of Material Service Corporation. He was a past president of the Lyons Lions Club. Will was the past president of the District 103 School Board. He was the past president of the Lyons Chamber of Commerce. His hobbies were oil painting, and he was an avid golfer.

Visitation 4 to 8pm Friday, December 29th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 30th. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of choice. For further service information: 708-352-6500
