Barbara Jean Hammon, age 61, of LaGrange passed away peacefully on June 20th. She will forever be remembered as loving mother of Alicia(Josh) Kosanovich. Cherished grandmother of Bryce Kosanovich. Beloved sister of Michael Klatt. Adored daughter of the late Richard and Lorraine Klatt.

Barbara was the loving mother of Alicia (Josh) Kosanovich, who brought immeasurable joy and pride to her heart. She treasured her role as a mother and poured her love, guidance, and support into Alicia’s life. Their bond was unbreakable, and Barbara’s unconditional love will forever serve as a guiding light for Alicia.

As a dear grandmother to Bryce Kosanovich, Barbara found pure delight in watching him grow and thrive. She reveled in the precious moments spent with Bryce, nurturing him with love, wisdom, and boundless affection. Barbara’s legacy lives on through her grandson, as she imparted a legacy of love and devotion that will be carried forward by Bryce.

Barbara spent her early life in Westchester and graduated from Proviso West High School. She was a dedicated and hardworking employee at Palmer Place for over 25 years, where she built lasting relationships with her colleagues and patrons. Her commitment to her profession was evident in her unwavering work ethic and the positive impact she had on the lives she touched.

When Barbara had a day off, she relished the simple pleasures of life. A hot, sunny day called for lounging by the pool, allowing the warmth of the sun to envelop her and wash away any worries. She found solace in these moments, appreciating the tranquility and beauty of nature.

Above all, Barbara’s greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved grandson, Bryce. Their bond was filled with laughter, love, and countless treasured memories. Whether engaged in playful activities or sharing quiet conversations, their connection was truly special and will forever hold a place of warmth in Bryce’s heart.

Barbara Jean Hammon’s legacy is one of love, compassion, and resilience. Her unwavering dedication to her family, her work, and the simple joys of life leaves an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing her. While we grieve her loss, we find solace in the memories we shared and the love she shared with us.

A visitation will take place at Hallowell & James, 1025 W 55th St. in Countryside on Saturday June 24, 2023 from 10am to 2pm. Family and friends are invited to honor Barbara’s life and share their cherished memories.

May Barbara’s soul find eternal peace, and may her memory forever inspire us to embrace the love and joy that she brought to our lives. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
