Rafael L. Acevedo, age 87, of Chicago, formerly of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. Beloved husband of Piedad Acevedo (nee Torres) for a wonderful 56 years. Loving father of Beatriz (Steve) Sutkus, Adriana Acevedo and Rafael (Vanessa) Acevedo. Devoted grandfather of Israel, Steven, Lauren, Nicolas and Liliana. Dear brother of Fidel (Briscelda) Acevedo. Rafael was preceded in death by his parents, Rafael and Beatriz Acevedo and brothers, Enrique & Luis Acevedo.
Visitation 3 to 9pm Wednesday, February 1st at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, IL 60525. Family and friends will meet at St. Joseph Church, 4821 S. Hermitage Ave., Chicago for 10am Mass on Thursday, February 2nd. Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park.
