Shirley J. Kreft, 90 years young, of Clarendon Hills, formerly of Bloomfield Hills, MI.  Beloved and devoted wife of Karl for over 60 years.  Loving mother of Karen (Matthew) Krull and Eric (Lisa) Kreft.  Devoted Oma of Karl, Nikolaus, Katarina, Christian, Kelsey and Karsten.  Cherished sister of the late Lynn (Rita) White and sister-in-law of Marianne (Hans) Kleine.  Dear Tante of Clay, Dale, Jason, Birgit, Anke, Thomas and Jorge.  Funeral service 12 noon Wednesday Dec. 28th at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 5211 Carpenter St., Downers Grove.  Visitation 10 a.m. – 12 noon at the church.  Interment private.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to Hallowell & James Funeral Home 630-964-6500

  12. Karl, Karen, Eric, and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I have fond memories of Shirley when she was a Sunday School teacher. Her strong faith, and love for Jesus and the children she taught, made a lasting impression on me.
