Scott Earl Allord

Scott Earl Allord, age 41, of Woodridge IL passed away Thursday October 27, 2022. Cherished son of Donald Allord & Barbara Gorman Allord, loving brother of Corinne Allord Eurkaitis (Chris Eurkaitis), proud uncle to Andrew and Aiden Eurkaitis, and dear nephew & cousin of many.  His kind hearted soul touched so many lives. He was compassionate and generous. His infectious smile and laugh will be missed. He loved hockey; playing, refereeing and especially coaching young players just learning the game he loved.  He loved to golf.  He was happiest traveling the world, making memories and making new friends.  He is gone too soon, but he lived life to the fullest with a big smile and positive attitude. Wake and Memorial Service will be Monday November 7th  from 3pm-9pm with a Memorial Service at 8pm.  Hallowell & James Funeral Home located at 301 75th St in Downers Grove, IL.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Hornet Sled Hockey. The program was started in 2003 by JJ O’Connor, a former hockey player who sustained a catastrophic injury in a hockey game, to give these players a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the sport of hockey.https://www.hornetsledhockey.org

  8. I never met Scott but I know his father Don. And I’m sure Scott was a great guy because “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” God bless the Allord family.

  9. Don and Barbara:
Karen and I are so sorry and saddened to hear of the sudden loss of your beloved son Scott. We were out of town when we were made aware of his passing, and we regret that we were unable to attend his memorial service to honor his memory. We have fond memories of seeing him growing up, and especially when he launched his referring career. We know how immensely proud you were of all of his accomplishments in sports and life. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Corrine and the other members of your family.May he rest in peace.

  10. I just heard of this last night and am so sorry to hear that another classmate has left us. I would’ve attended had I known.

Whenever I lose someone I find it uplifting to hear fun cute little facts or funny tidbits about the person, so I hope this brings a smile to the family. Here is a fun tidbit about Scott:

Scott was known to some of us ’99 DGN kids as “Scribe” because he incessantly wore a hoodie sweatshirt that said that, literally all the time; it was black with white calligraphy on it. “SCRIBE.” So when he came around we all greeted him in a funny voice saying, “Scriiiibe!” A fun memory. A few years ago when I ran into him I called him that and he laughed because he knew exactly what I meant, all those years later. Ha!

Rest well. Prayers and comfort to his family and friends.
