T.R. Grauer, age 73, of Woodridge. Loving husband of Laura for 45 years. Loving father of Eric (Molly) Grauer and Jocelyn Grauer. Beloved Grandpa of Parker, Cutler, and Madi Joe Grauer. Loving brother to Dorothy Grauer, Christine (Craig) Graff, Mary (Tom) Sasek and the late Donna (late Alfred) Bianucci, the late Bob Grauer and the late Jim Grauer. Dear Uncle to Karin Bianucci, Kathy Leyden, and Ken Bianucci, Michelle Balazs and Kristen Venetsanopoulos, Brittany Corcoran, Corey Sasek and Frank Sasek. Born and raised in Cicero, IL, T.R. rocked the guitar in bands from the time he was at St. Joseph High School until the time he passed. He loved golf, his family, camping and his beloved Chicago Cubs. He will be missed and always loved by many. Visitation 3 to 8pm Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301-75th Street, Downers Grove.  Prayers 9:15am Friday, October 21, 2022 at the funeral home to St. Scholastica Church, Woodridge, for Funeral Mass at 10am.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery.   2. I played in bands with TR at St Joes and after I got out of the army. We were Best Man at each other’s weddings , and he is Godfather To my son John, and I’m Godfather to his son Eric. He’s been one of my Best friend forever. Save a place for me in heaven Tr.

  7. I can still remember meeting TR for the first time -at a family party at Laura’s…he was so outgoing, stood out in a crowd, and always had something funny to say! He stayed that way every time we were all together…so many fond memories with TR! We will miss him tremendously – he was truly loved by all and he truly loved his family!!

  8. I met TR 20 years ago at my son’s and his niece’s Kristen’s wedding. Ever since then I always saw him and his family at Spilios and Kristen’s for special occasions. The most memorable occasion is Thanksgiving and TR was always reading the Thanksgiving prayer. You will be missed my friend and Thanksgiving will not be the same without you. Rest in piece.   10. TR’s passion for family, golf and red wine was unmatched. I always looked forward to gatherings that TR would be at. I am going to miss him terribly. We were playing golf at Olympia Fields, and the course was getting the best of TR. I changed the music to a Led Zeppelin playlist. TR preceded to par the next two holes. We just needed to let the Led out. Rock on TR.

  11. A true one of a kind person, my Uncle TR was. So many childhood and adult memories. Uncle TR made every gathering fun and was always in a good mood. Very lucky to have enjoyed him and his sense of humor all these years. He will truly be missed, but will now smile when I think of all the good times. 🤍

    1. I can’t imagine life without you. We’ve had such great times together at parties., wine tastings and on vacations. You really are the best brother anyone could ask for. We had a history of memories from our childhood that I will miss talking about with you. You will always be in my heart.

  17. Met TR at River Bend Golf course in Lisle maybe 4 yrs ago, very lucky to play in the Senior League with him every year since and also the indoor golf at Legends in Woodridge . One of the people I’ve had great pleasure to spend time with and will miss him very much.

  29. Sorry for the Grauer family loss. T R was truly one of the great ones from the 58th Avenue gang. He was special, especially when my brother Kevin passed.   30. Very sad to see this posting. I knew T.R from our days with the Chicago Power. Always had a good story and liked to laugh. A very nice guy! I was glad I got to see him playing with his band. My condolences to the family.
