Tuyen Dang

A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Tuyen Dang left this world peacefully on Sept. 17th, 2022 at the age of 80 surrounded by his family and loved ones. Tuyen was born in Vietnam and was a military police for the United States Embassy. He took the last helicopter from the US Embassy out of Vietnam on his long journey to America. He and his family were blessed to be sponsored by St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, Western Springs and was aided by many parishioners. He and his family can never thank enough for their support and generosity. His greatest accomplishment is having all his six children graduate from college. He enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed by his family: Tuyet, wife of 61 years, 6 children Ann (Mike), Dianna (Tom), Sue, Matt (Shara), John, and Tom, along with 9 grandchildren, Katie, Brandon, Emma (Neal), Joseph, Andrew, Christopher, Karsen, Jayden, and Mason.

Funeral Mass will be at Queenship of Mary, 219 Armitage Ave., Glen Ellyn, Illinois on Saturday, October 8th, 2022 at 9:00 am. Interment following Mass at Queen of Heaven, Hillside. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Western Springs, Illinois.
