Bruce A. Schwartz

Bruce A. Schwartz, age 50, of Countryside, IL, passed away at home on May 1, 2022 after a hard fought battle against esophageal cancer. He was a graduate of Pleasantdale and Lyons Township High School. Bruce and his wife had an amazing relationship for 30 years, and their greatest gifts were their children and grandson. Bruce would help anyone, had the best stories, and made everything enjoyable. His greatest joys in life were the years of go-kart and stock car racing they did as a family with his son as the driver, and running Schwartz Excavating and Schwartz Construction Group with his family and late father.

Cherished husband of Beth (née Pritchett); devoted father of Cassidy (Tyler) and Garrett (Rachel); proud grandfather of Emmett; loving son of Patricia (née Pearson) and the late Bruce; dear brother of Brian (Beth) and Christy; amazing uncle of Christopher, Ryan, Conner, Caden, Jake, & Cole.

Visitation 3 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Funeral Service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 5 at the funeral home, followed by a procession to Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Stickney, IL for graveside service.     I was so saddened to hear of Bruce’s passing. My heart is with you all during these difficult days.
    I can’t help thinking about the baseball days, and Bruce over at our house with Chris when they were kids.
