Though I didn’t know him, I can tell he was well loved! I give my respects to all of you through his nephew Rocco. Now he can be in peace and wait for his beloved ones. May grace and peace be with all of you from Abba YeHoVah (Father God) and his Son Yeshua HaMashiach’s (Jesus our Messiah) name. Amen!

  4. I’ll miss Ron. He was a cherished friend and wonderful traveling member of our “group.” We learned and laughed and shared experiences in England, Scotland, France, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Israel, Egypt and numerous trips to Greece and the Greek Islands. For 10 years I went to Europe with Ron and other friends and I am so grateful. He loved to shop for souvenirs, especially in jewelry stores. He was an excellent cook and shared his appreciation for delicious food. Loved our birthday dinners at “Greek Islands” restaurant. You’ll be missed Ron!! RIP.

  5. To All The Salerno Family,
I have known Tico since were young kids. He was a real sweetheart. He was so mild mannered and always had a very sweet smile on his face. I loved and shall always treasure our discussions about food and family recipes, especially his recipe for Turdills at Christmas time. I still have that recipe in my family recipe book. Tico was a real treasure and one of a kind. It saddens me to know he has left us. Sleep warm little Tico.

  10. What a gentle soul, who was artistic, kind, humble, and smart. Although he suffered greatly, he never complained. He loved being with his family and I fortunate to have know him. My deepest sympathies to the Salerno family I wish I could be there with you on Saturday. I will be in spirit. May he Rest In Peace.

  11. Dear Salerno family – I am so sorry for you loss – Ron and I were hired on the same day and some of our combined antics, mostly on field trips, were legendary. After the funeral mass we stood outside and told Ron stories and when I went to grab my keys from my bag both my keys and phone were gone .. the church had already been locked up but no one turned them in – I’ve been back to the church twice but no luck. I was hoping agains hope that they had been turned in to someone in the family. I truly feel like a goof and I hate to bother you at this sad time but if they turned up … anywhere I would be greatly relieved. love, Kathy Fischer

  12. I am so very sorry to hear of my beloved teachers passing he was one of the greatest teachers I had we would talk often in school about art, everything we even took classes at the school of the art instute together in the 70’s a cherished memory for sure. I tried to track him down many times but it wasn’t in the cards, I think his world traveling made that difficult he often would tell me of his love of traveling and of going to Greece especially i’m leaving this comment with a heavy heart because people, teachers like Ron are vast becoming a extinct breed, Thank you Ron as I have many times done in the past in our talks, God Bless You and your family,
    Your friend,
    Rob

  13. Not sure why I looked up Ron’s name this morning. Probably because I looked at the Dining room chairs he reupholstered for my mom, Alice. Ron was our neighbor in Berwyn

I’m sad and sorry I wasn’t able to pay my respects.

Ron loved Greece. Was a teacher that cared about his students. Gentle and kind. My Mom loved him.
