Penny Sue Day
Penny Sue Day (nee Pesl), age 66, of Countryside, passed away on Tuesday, December 28th. Beloved wife of Kevin C. Day for many wonderful years. Loving mother of Jakki (Robert) Behnke. Devoted grandmother of Dakota and Olivia Behnke. Penny was preceded in death by her parents, Leo John and Maude Margaret (nee Day) Pesl.
Penny was a longtime employee of LaGrange Hospital for 46 years as a sterile processing clerk. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 8pm on Tuesday, January 4th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, where family and friends are to gather at 9am on Wednesday, January 5th for prayers and procession to Fairmount Willow Hills Memorial Park, Willow Springs for 10am interment.

I am so sorry for your loss. Penny trained me when I first started working at La Grange in 1984. We had so many great times together! Keeping your family in my prayers. She will be missed!!
So sorry to hear of Penny’s passing. I worked with her at LaGrange until I moved in 2003. I just saw this on Facebook for the first time today and was in shock. She was one lively character and am sure she is missed. She was too young to be gone. May she Rest In Peace.
