Stanley J. Gradowski, Jr.

Stanley J. Gradowski, Jr.; age 82, of Western Springs, died on September 5, 2021. Stan was the only child of the late Stanley J. Gradowski and the late Mary A. (née Wolak) Gradowski.

Growing up in Cicero, Stan attended St. Mary of Czestochowa School, Morton High School, and Morton College (AA). He completed his education at Northwestern University (BSBA and MBA). Stan was also a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois.

After serving two years in the Army, Stan spent 12.5 years working at Price Waterhouse & Co. where he was a Tax Manager. He completed his business career at Tribune Company where he worked for 21 years, and was a Vice President and the Corporate Secretary. Stan was a member and active in several professional organizations and also served as a trustee/director of civic and charitable organizations including the Taxpayers Federation of Illinois, St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital Center, and the Chicago Metro History Education Center. He was also a member of the Rotary Club of Chicago.

Visitation 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 9 at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 S. Wolf Road, Western Springs, IL 60558. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Stan’s name to the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, 310 N. River Rd., Des Plaines, IL 60016 or to St. John of the Cross Parish are appreciated.   1. We were so sorry to hear of Stanley’s passing. Though we know he has gone home to God, it is still difficult for the loved ones left behind. Stanley and his family and friends are in our thoughts during this difficult time. The Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth are praying for all of you, now and always.
