  1. Sam was a wonderful person, and he will be missed. He took such pride in his family, and had a huge heart. I smile when I think of his contagious laugh and funny stories. Sam
lived his religion, and I’m sure he has a special
place in heaven. Save room for the rest of us Sammy!!

  2. Very sorry to hear of Sam’s passing. We arranged to meet and I spent a few hours with Sam in Hickey’s Bar, Chicago when I visited my relations in the city in 2005. Sam’s father Owen and mother Mary would have been neighbours of my father back in Glenarm. My aunt Kate Mckillop was the wife of Johnny McGarel, brother to Owen. Sam was an engaging conversationist and a really nice guy. RIP.
