Edward “Ed” Braunstein

Edward “Ed” Robert Braunstein, 23, of Western Springs, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2021. Ed, who was a beloved son and brother, is survived by his parents (Mark and Tracy (McGann)), older brother (Maxwell) and older sister (Sarah). He was a graduate of Lyons Township High School and attended University of Dayton in Ohio, where he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship. He adored being a Dayton Flyer. Ed was an avid lacrosse player, having played in the Western Springs Lacrosse Youth League for years and excelling on the Lyons Township High School team for four years. He enjoyed pheasant hunting and skeet and pistol shooting with his dad and brother. He joins Grandpa McGann and Grandma and Grandad Braunstein in heaven. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund at https://www.fallenheroesfund.org/donate are appreciated. Services and interment are being held privately.   3. My deepest sympathy to you all. Even as a 2nd grader, Ed would lighten up the room when he entered. His enthusiasm was contagious and could every day into a great day.
