Ronald Gene Klaus

Ronald Gene Klaus, 71, passed away on the 29 of January 2021 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center, in Joliet, Illinois. He was born April 15, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to Gary Klaus Sr. and Gertrude (Wolff) Klaus.

Ronald grew up in the Southwest of Chicago, Illinois.

After high school, Ron began working with Edwards and Deutsch Printing Company as a Printer. He then began working for Uarco, followed by Norandex and then Chamberlin Building Products.  Then began his own company, Contemporary Building Products, where he worked for 18 years. He then went to work with his younger brother, Mark, at Assured Incorporated, for 17 years, in Window and Door Sales.

Ron married Darcy Stone in 1974, Oak Lawn, Illinois. They were true soulmates, happily married for 45 years with their love everlasting. Ron and Darcy spent the majority of their lives living in Woodridge, Illinois. They enjoyed traveling to new places and attended Chicago White Sox games.

Ronald was an avid Chicago sports fan, minus the Chicago Cubs. He loved spending his time outdoors, especially fishing and teaching his grandchildren to fish. More importantly, Ron loved spending time making his grandchildren smile and cooking for his family. He taught his granddaughter Morgan how to make Lamb burgers, he taught Corey to fish, and helped him catch his first fish. Ron was a selfless man who worked to support his loved ones in any way possible.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Gary Emil Klaus Sr., Gertrude Klaus, and brother, Gary Emil Klaus Jr.

Ronald is survived by the love of his life, Darcy of Crest Hill, Illinois; his daughter, Alison (Nick Moscatello) Klaus of Bloomingdale, Illinois; his younger sister, Cynthia (David) Stutz of Lemont, Illinois; his younger brother, Mark (Julie) Sala of Mokena, Illinois; his grandchildren Corey Klaus and Morgan Stafford; his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
