Rebecca C. Grazulis, age 45, of Western Springs. Beloved daughter of Christine (nee Pekala) and the late Joseph A. Grazulis, Sr. Loving sister of Joseph A. Grazulis, Jr. Devoted “dog mom” of Bailey. Rebecca was a beloved teacher of many. Due to the current pandemic, services will be held privately. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 at stjude.org/donate or by calling (800) 478-5833.     You were one of my closest friends in high school and beyond. Your beautiful soul always shined so bright, from your wonderful writings and books to your love of music and finding the deeper meaning in life. You will be greatly missed forever. Love you, “Bucky”

  4. I can still picture and hear Rebecca singing “I Could Have Danced All Night” from My Fair Lady. I hope the angels are dancing and singing with her in heaven. My prayers for the whole family.

  6. Rebecca’s kind heart was such a gift to our class of 94. I will always remember her keen attention to detail and her integrity as we worked on the newspaper with Mrs. Kirtley and Sr. Freddie. Wonderful memories of her will live on. My deepest condolences to Joe and Mrs. Grazulis.

  7. Rebecca was so vibrant and truly enjoyed her time at Nazareth.
    It was a joy having her as a student in my math classes.
    It was always obvious that she loved to learn!

  9. I have such great memories of Rebecca in our Naz choir/musical/play rehearsal. She was such a sweet and talenged girl and she will clearly be missed. My prayers to her family and friends! I’m so very sorry for your loss.

  10. Rebecca was always one of the kindest, sweetest most genuine people I knew in high school. I was so glad to connect with her a few years back and even got to have a personal tour of Milwaukee which was such a fun afternoon. Her wisdom and insight were such a spot of light and hope I will miss her. My heartfelt condolences and sympathy to her mom and brother at this awful time.

She brought smiles to Sr. Freddie and me during those long Friday nights of layout in the library. Our world has suffered a terrible loss. My deepest condolences go to Joe and Mrs. Grazulis.

  14. I was a university classmate of Rebecca’s, and just learned of her passing from our alumni magazine. She was kind, funny, and intelligent. My condolences to her family and friends.

  15. Rebecca was an English teacher of mine nearly 15 years ago. She recently came to mind when a friend mentioned teachers who made an incredible impact on them. I instantly thought of Rebecca. Coming across this obituary page has saddened me beyond belief. Rebecca, I hope you know that you’ve been a blueprint for me becoming a teacher and I thank you for being so kind and generous when i was at such a susceptible age. You will be very missed and never forgotten.
