  1. He will be missed but memories of all the good times we had with Bernie at our nightly dinners in Florida will sustain us. Many of his friends at Lakewood Country Club in Naples have expressed their sympathy and recalled the good times they had playing golf with him. We extend our sincere sympathy to his daughters and their families. Harry and Diane.

  2. He will be missed. He was a great neighbor of mine for many, many years. We loved him. Deepest sympathy to your family. Please let me know when the memorial will be. Thanks. Carol Dispensa

  3. He was just a tremendous man. Loved life. Loved people. As a young lawyer at 26th Street, he taught me the valuable lesson to laugh at myself and not become immersed in all of the utter nonsense the Cook County Criminal Court building had to offer.
He was quick with a smile and a joke. He impacted a lot of lives in a very positive way.
    My condolences to his family.

  4. Mary and Barbara, heartfelt condolences from Dr. Joe Gallagher’s family. We know the two of them, childhood friends, shared so many wonderful times together. We always knew when dad was going out with Bernie, it was a guaranteed good time. They lived life to the fullest. So sad to hear the last of the 55th Street/ Visitation gang has moved on to join the rest of them up in heaven. God bless. Please reach out and let us know when the memorial service will be, we very much want to attend. The Gallaghers
