Lois A. Lavin

Lois A. Lavin, nee Green, age 92, of Indian Head Park.  Loving wife of the late Joseph P. Lavin. Caring mother of Mary Kay (Raymond) Zobjeck, JoAnn (Donnie) Williams, Jean Pauga and Kathleen Lavin.  Devoted grandmother of Erika (Tom) Cimbalista, Megan Zobjeck, Melinda (Peter Mason) Williams, Courtney (Michael) Hoff, Kevin Pauga, Brian (Amanda) Pauga, Scott Pauga and Heather Pauga.  Cherished great-grandmother of Sarah and Andrew Cimbalista, Samantha and Henry Mason and Harper Pauga.  Dear sister of Bobby Green and John Green.  She was preceded in death by her brothers George, Floyd, William and her sisters Helen Weiss, Irene Dwyer and Patricia.  Lois worked at Rit Dye where she met the love of her life, Joe, and began their 42 year journey together.  Staying at home to care for their four children she then resumed her career later in life working at Marshall Fields in Oak Brook.  She loved decorating, playing bridge and visiting with her grandchildren.  Visitation 9:30am-10:45am Wednesday August 30th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, proceeding to St. Cletus Church for Mass at 11:15am.  Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Helping Hand Center, 9649 W. 55th St., Countryside, IL 60525 would be appreciate.  Funeral home phone 708-352-6500

  1. Our dear sweet Aunt Lois,

    Oh how I have enjoyed and will miss our lunches/dinners at your condo, listening to you and Mom tell us about your childhood and how you met Uncle Joe. You are at peace now and rejoined with the love of your life and pasted on family members. Thanks for everything you have done for my Mom and always welcoming us with open arms.
