Lt. David A. Bobor

david-bobor-photoDavid A. Bobor, age 57, Retired Lieutenant with the Pleasantview Fire Protection District, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 30, 2016. During his 37 years of dedicated public service, he was involved in search and rescue after the deadly Plainfield tornado as well as serving a two-week deployment in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. After his retirement, he remained an active member of Pleasantview’s Air Rehab Unit. David was devoted to both family and friends; a man you could always count on. Beloved husband of Mary for 34 years; devoted father of Justin (Danielle) and Kevin (Samantha Dudzinski); loving son of Ann Marie and the late Frank Bobor; loving son-in-law of Irma Allen and the late Michael Swierk; dear nephew of Fran Babick; and loving uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend to many. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 5, from 3 to 9pm, with a Fireman’s Walk-through Service to begin at 7pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. On Thursday, October 6, visitation will begin at 9am followed by a service at 10:30. Interment at Fairmount-Willow Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance Burn Camp. Service info (708) 352-6500.
