  1. Dear Jeanne and family,

I want to extend my sincere condolences.

Though we have obviously not kept in touch, I have many treasured memories of our four years together in the Phi Gam house at Ames. We started out as pledges together and finished as grads. I remember well the year John served as House President, to bring order after some difficult times. He was early on a compatible leader.

I wish you comfort and solace in the coming months, particularly with and among each other.
My wife Ann (Fowler) passed away three years ago and the closeness of my family has been a great support for me.

    With abiding sympathy,
    Ray Giese
