Deborah “Debbie” Marie Brandt

BrandtDeborah “Debbie” Marie Brandt (nee Gabreleski), age 58, of Willowbrook, IL, passed away July 30, 2014 after a long battle with Cancer, surrounded by family.  Debbie was born in Berwyn, IL on February 7, 1956  to Eunice and Clarence Gabreleski.  She attended Morton East High School, class of 74, graduating early with honors, to continue onto a successful personal banking career. While working at First National Bank of LaGrange, she met her husband, John Ashworth Brandt, then of LaGrange, IL. and went onto marry her best friend on June 2, 1984. They welcomed their first child Briana, in 1986, followed by their son, Bryan, in 1991. Debbie became a very proud “mimi” to her precious grandchild, Luke  O’Saughnessy  Murray, on July 7, 2013. Deborah is the Beloved wife of John A. Brandt; loving mother of Briana (Peter) Murray and Bryan Brandt; cherished grandmother of Luke  O. Murray;  dearest daughter of Eunice Marnell; best sister to Lisa (Phil) Mangini, Robert (Janice) Gabreleski, Kathy (Willy) Cecchi, Michael (Karen) Marnell and Susan (Jeff) Ambrose.; fond sister-in-law to William (Patrice) Brandt, Michael (Diane) Brandt, James (Ann Dietz) Brandt; dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Visitation Monday from 3 to 8pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside.  Friends are asked to assemble on Tuesday, August  5, for an 11:15am  Funeral Mass at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 So. Wolf Rd., Western Springs. Entombment Bronswood Cemetery, Oak Brook.
