Ronald HurstRonald W. Hurst, 76, of Lemont. Retired history teacher at Morton East High School and owner of Hursts’ Berwyn Jewelers. Beloved husband of Kathy, nee O’Brien. Loving father of Rebecca (Michael McGuire) Hurst, William (Lisa) and Robert.  Grandfather of Blais and Zane. Brother of Velma (late Alex) Koehler and George (Myra) Hurst. Visitation 2 to 9pm Tuesday March 25th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301-75th Street, Downers Grove, where services will be held at 11am on Wednesday March 26th. Interment private.   1. My condolences to the Hurst family. I knew Mr.Hurst when I, was a student at Morton East. Back in the 70’s.

  6. You touched so many people during your time here on earth. As a former student I can tell you that your class was a joy, a place where learning was made fun and enjoyable. May you enjoy your time in the heavens as we enjoyed having you here on earth. Rest in peace and prayers to your family. They will see you again, this is not where it ends.

  15. Had Mr Hurst for Am Hist junior yr. at East. Best school year of my life. Went to the track everyday with him and Mr Clifford. What a great guy! RIP Ron!
