I was so very fortunate to have met Claire and have her part of my family.. I have been gone from Chicago since 1981 and although our contact was infrequent, once meeting Claire u could not help but love and admire her .. She was so very bright, full of life , and so very compassionate .. My thoughts and prayers go out to her children and her devoted husband .. Wish I had the words to relieve your grief right now but I am at a loss .. Just know that Claire was beautiful , loving, bright, and someone I can only aspire to be .. Our time together began with our first year of med school, with a friendship over four decades and thousands of miles. When we were able to sit down and catch-up (usually in her office in the department of radiology at Rush) we simply picked up from where we left off, just like it was yesterday. Claire lives in all of us who were blessed to know her. Now we have just a bit more light by which to continue on down the path. Thanks Claire! Z
