Larry D. Caffey, age 54, passed away at his home January 24th. Visitation 3-9pm Thursday, January 30th, at Hallowell & James Funeral Home,1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. I’m still in shock about you passing away – it has been on my mind constantly…. You were a good friend and I’m going to miss laughing & joking with you… I cant even remember all the countless times we laughed til our stomachs hurt and our eyes were watering… You were taken way too early… I hope your children find the strength to push forward and I know that is what you would want – my thoughts are with them tonight…
I chose this poem for my mothers funeral but I tweaked the words some and I want to add it here:
God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around you
and whispered,
“Come With Me”
With tearful eyes your family watched
and saw you pass away
and although they love you dearly
they could not make you stay.
A Golden heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best
REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND!
