Albert Pristave
Age 76, of Indian Head Park, passed away July 4, 2016. He was the father of John (Yadira) Kozney, brother of Donald (Patricia), uncle of Michael & Matthew Pristave, and close friend of Janet Fortina. Albert was a member of the American Legion Post #991. At his request, no services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to HALLOWELL & JAMES FUNERAL HOME at 708/352-6500

Al we love you. RIP. We have wonderful memories over the years. Holiday fun times, birthdays, etc. We enjoyed the stories of all your many travels. Even though we weren’t with you your final days, hope you know our hearts were with you.
Survived by three additional children: Diane Abigail (Matt), Scott (Sheila), Sherry (Chris) and six grandchildren: Emma, #6 on the way, Nicole, Jonathan, Nicholas, and Christopher.

These are condolences sent to Don and his family. Al was a fixture at our home starting in 1958. Al always talked with my mother Dorothy, I assume to get on her good side. He really loved my sister. He dated my sister and they finally married. They had 4 children. I considered Al part of my family and a big brother, after all he was much, much older than me, I was only 8. He was a very hard worker and supported his family (including putting my sister through college for a bachelors degree and later a nursing degree). Al followed my fathers advice to get a college degree in accounting. He became a CPA very easily and had high level accounting positions at major corporations for many years. My dad (John) and Al really hit it off. I heard of Al’s passing from my Aunt Elsie. I was so surprised because of his young age. My husband and I always thought that we might re-connect, but that is gone forever. The loss of family a member is always difficult to get over (death/divorce). We will always remember Al for his great cooking skills (remember he was a cook in the army for two years and reserves for many), jovial personality and tolerance. Also, his parents Helen and Andy were very soft spoken people and helped their children in the many ways that responsible parents do. We will always remember the good times!
