Liliana Faith Borrett

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend, Liliana Faith Borrett. Lily passed peacefully in her sleep on September 17, 2025, at the age of two. Born on May 13, 2023, at Hinsdale Hospital, she filled our lives with love, laughter, and joy.

Lily was the cherished daughter of Ryan and Amanda Borrett, the sister of EJ Sandrick and Olivia Borrett, and the granddaughter of Rich and Andrea Gagliani, and Dawn Borrett and David King. She was a treasured niece to Emily Koivisto, Caitlin Borrett, Mike and Allison Cherry, and cousin to Owen, Sean, Liam, Maeve, Charley, and AJ, and best friend to Georgia (Gigi) Williams.

Lily brought boundless energy, curiosity, and independence to everything she did. She was eager to do things “by self,” and her infectious enthusiasm left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Though her time with us was brief, her love will forever shine in our hearts.

A visitation will be held at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, IL, on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Cletus Church in La Grange, IL, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. – family and friends asked to meet directly at church. The burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the GoFundMe page in Lily’s memory at https://www.gofundme.com/f/liliana-faith-borrett.

Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that Lily’s spirit will forever be with us, sharing the love and joy she brought into our lives.

  3. Lily lit up the hearts of everyone that was lucky enough to know her. She had an infectious smile and an energy that brought nothing but joy. I’ll always remember her at EJ’s baseball games, smiling and waving to her big brother in the dugout and on the field. I am so grateful we got to enjoy a beautiful summer day on the banks of the DuPage river with Lily and her family just last month. I’ll never forget the way she looked up at me asking for snacks….”Eddie nacky??”….It makes me smile every time I think of it, and it was of course, impossible to decline. She was perfect in every way, and everyone loved her. Rest in peace, sweet baby.
