I will always remember your mom’s big smile, happy cheers from the pool balcony and the track bleachers. I don’t think she ever missed a swim or track meet, home or away.
I saw your mom at a restaurant near Oak Park a few years ago. I was at the restaurant with my friends from the Masters Swim Club. She came over to our table to say hello to me and I introduced her as “My swim mom. The Hornets best cheer leader.” She was the best. Love to you all. Suzie (Koenen) Silvis
Penny was so loved for her cheerful disposition and nurturing mentorship,. She was magnetic! And the best of her lives on in you, Kerry, Penny, Stephanie, Heather & Gene. Sending you lots of love and compassion for your loss. I loved your mom! Lisa Spiller
I met Penny years ago through Deanne and Tom Collins when all the children were babies.
Through the years I would see her at the Bash on The Bayou up at Lake Geneva with Deanne and we spent hours reminiscing before she would drive back to her family even when it was late at night.
Her family was always her priority. Will miss her beautiful smile and infectious laughter.

Heather — I am so sorry to learn of your loss. Your Mom used to work for AMLI at Prairie Court, our Oak Park community back in the 90’s. She was a great lady and a wonderful member of the AMLI Famli. All the very best. Greg
Penny was truly one of the most loving, giving and devoted women I ever met. When I first met her, I was caring for her granddaughter, Grace. She was always so happy to be in the presence of her grandchildren. Her devotion to her son, Gene, was truly a gift. Always making life fun and making all around her feel loved. I will miss our girl talks. Until we meet again, Penny … you will be missed.
