Paul Joseph Pustelnik, 53, of Downers Grove.  Beloved husband of Lynn.  Loving father of Robert, Ryan, Allison and James.  Devoted son of Mary Lou and the late Kenneth.  Fond brother of Karen (Thomas) DiNaso, Michael (Jennifer) and Kathy (fiancé Joseph Pusateri).  Dear uncle of many.  Visitation 3 to 9pm Friday, April 13 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301-75th St., Downers Grove.  Prayers 9:15am Saturday, April 14 at the funeral home to St. Mary of Gostyn Church, Downers Grove for Mass at 10am.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Wounded Warrior Project appreciated.  Funeral home phone 630/964-6500 or www.hjfunerals.com

    In so many ways your father worked to make this world a better place. I am sure he now has a wonderful reward in heaven.. You have my condolences.

  2. Pustelnik Family… Had the joy of playing softball with Paul for several years and thought of him as a great friend. My heart breaks at this news and you are all in my thoughts and prayers. He was a great guy and I’ll miss him.

    1. Paul was a great guy , calming influence , and recently in the last couple years very inspirational and lover of life. I too was a teammate for several years on that softball team and considered Paul a good friend ! My condolences to his family , he is much missed ! -Larry Zavis

  3. Paul was an amazing guy. I played little league with him and years later on the same softball team with Larry and Drew. Always in a good mood with a smile on his face. He will be missed. I will have all of Paul’s family in my prayers.

  4. I am so sad to hear of Paul’s passing. We were neighborhood friends and shared a love of music. When Pink Floyd’s The Wall came out in 1979, he and I wore the album out in his basement. As the others have said, he was always a kind and gentle soul. Shine on you crazy diamond.

  6. I had the honor of working with Paul at a small software company in Naperville IL for a few years. Paul was a joy to work with. So very creative, insightful, and thoughtful, he brought a calming sense of peace to our team. I will always remember his genuine smile and kindness. My deepest condolences to his family.
