Minnie “Retha” Boltz

Minnie “Retha” Boltz, age 84, of Downers Grove.  Beloved wife of the late George.  Loving mother of George (Gera Funk) Boltz, Gregory Boltz and Sandra (Robert) Boege.  Devoted grandmother of Ashley Boege, Cassie Boltz, Kelly Funk, Megan (Matthew) Di Cianni, Matthew Boltz, Michael Boege and Jackson Boltz.  Proud great-grandmother of Rosalina, Arianna, Aleena and Simba.  Fond aunt to many.  Retha was preceded in death by her siblings Golden, Pauline, Jasper, Ruby Lee, Ellen, Hubert and W.B.  Retha served as a registered nurse for many years and devoted her life to caring for others, especially her husband George.  Visitation 3pm Friday December 15th until time of service 7:30pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301 75th St., Downers Grove.  Private burial at Clarendon Hills Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Assn. would be appreciated.  Funeral home phone 630-964-6500

  1. Greg: Maybe this thought will help a little – when my Dad passed our priest said: “It will never be good, but it will get better – you hurts so much now because you had such a strong bond…”. My condolences for your loss.
