  3. We love you Uncle Dave and the Kestler family that took such excellent care of you. We know you are not in a better place, but in the BEST place looking down at us. We’re sure you can walk faster and even hear us better. Glad we had such good times as of late.. You looked so cute at our Christmas in July lunch. We will always remember the good times in the pool, so long ago and our trailer trip to Disney World when someone walked into a light pole. On and on the memories flow and the love goes with you to your heavenly home.. We will miss you Uncle Dave . Rest In Peace!!

  6. Met Dave at MSU in 1958, he was in Room 208, me in 207. A Founding Father of Club 208 naturally. Many many great memories of Dave, Big Smile, good natured and pretty smart too I think since he took a lot of chemistry classes it seems. He had a car so drove to a couple of parties here and there around East Lansing/Lansing- enough said..
Dave came to our Wedding in Shabbona , Mi. in 1960, what a surprise and honor that he did for us, very Thankful for that..
    Will miss you Buddy, RIP!!

  8. Bernie and Family,
We met nearly 60 years ago at MSU, Brody Hall and still remember many of the things that occurred— all in good fun. Dave had a way that he could get along with every one and I can honestly say that I never heard a person make a snide remark about him. He only had friends, no enemies. Dave fully enjoyed life, had a ready smile and simply had a happy go lucky personality. His room was designated Club 208 and to this day those that gathered there still get together from time to time. We will miss Dave but will certainly toast him when we meet next football season.

  9. Bernie,
We all loved David so much! He was the first grandchild on his mother’s side of the family. We shared so many wonderful and happy memories. My thoughts are with you, your girls, and the whole family.
With love from David’s Carlson cousin,
    Janice Nagle

  10. Dear Bernie,
We will miss our good friend and neighbor in Tucson. We enjoyed the times getting together with you both. He had the nicest smile and was always fun to be with. Laurie and I still enjoy making Dave’s beef jerky. He was an amazing individual.
Bernie, we are looking forward to your visit to AZ. Maybe a little Bailey’s Irish Cream. We love you.
    Mont and Laurie
