Alane Ray Landgraf

Alane Ray Landgraf, 55, passed away September 11th from Glioblastoma at home with her husband, Jon Yamanaka at her side.  Alane was born to Abby and William Landgraf of St. Charles in Flushing, NY July 25th, 1962, educated in Minnesota, St. Charles, IL and received her MBA from Northern IL University where she was a member of MENSA.  Alane began her business career as a technical writer.  At the time she was stricken with brain cancer, Alane was a senior business analyst with McDonalds in Oak Brook, IL.  In addition to her parents, Alane is survived by her husband Jon with whom she was united in marriage on November 8, 2014 at the Congregational United Church of Christ in St. Charles.  Alane is also survived by a sister Christiann, Chicago, a brother Will of Foster City, CA, sister-in-laws Kristina Landgraf, Kim Nese, and Lynn Yamanaka, brother-in-law Louis Nese, in-laws Henry and Lillian Yamanaka, uncles Lawrence Landgraf, Ross Ray and many nephews and nieces.  Alane spent many summers in Hayward, WI at her parents summer home on Durphee Lake where she enjoyed hosta gardening with her mother.  A memorial service will be held at the LaGrange Bible Church at 11 AM Friday the 15th preceded by visitation 6-9 PM Thursday and 9-11 AM Friday.  In lieu of flowers,  contributions may be given to the LaGrange Bible Church or The American Cancer Society.  Hallowell & James Funeral Home assisting the family 630-964-6500

  1. Hi, Alane. I just found out you have passed away. I enjoyed hanging out and updating our resume’s together. I remember fondly the last lunch we had back in 2014-2015. I’m sure we will see each other again.
