  1. My deepest condolences to the family. I had worked with Art most of his many years on Rock Island Arsenal. Art had also been the president of the IA-IL NDIA Chapter for many years and remained active on the corporate board. As the current president of the Chapter, we intend to make a donation to the VVA in Art’s honor.

  2. I had the pleasure of serving with Art on the Board of the Rock Island Arsenal Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA). During the years I knew Art, he dedicated much of his time and effort to making the lives of disabled, disenfranchised, and hospitalized Veterans as cheerful and comfortable as possible. I will remember Art as a true patriot; one who believed in his country; rallied to the support of those who defended it; always placed the needs of others before his own. An unselfish man by any measure. —- Rest in peace Art…the example you set for us lives on!

  4. I got to know Art over 15 years ago, when I was stationed at Rock Island and then when I came back as an Army Retiree and had the pleasure of working with him on the Board of the Association of the United States Army, Rock Island Chapter. Art always brought energy, enthusiasm and passion to any effort to support our Soldiers and Veterans. Our military community will miss him greatly and I will personally miss him. Art you did well here on earth and know you are in Heaven praying for all of us and helping a Vet
