Leonard A. Maliszewski, age 91 of Western Springs; beloved husband of the late Anne (nee Olach); adoring father of Tom (Rose), David (Gloria), the late Bob (Carol), and Jim (Rosie); devoted grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; loving brother of the late Stanley and the late Lorraine. Leonard was a graduate of Northwestern University. He proudly served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theater. Leonard was also devoted to his position at the Continental Can Company where he was a Chemical Engineer, and the Director of Container Performance. He had the ability to repair anything except for the broken heart he suffered from the loss of his beloved Anna. Visitation Sunday, November 6, from 3 to 9pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Friends are asked to assemble on Monday November 7, directly at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 S. Wolf Rd, Western Springs for a 9:45am Mass. Interment Private.
