Beverly SavelBeverly J. Savel (nee Fencl), age 76, of Western Springs. Beloved wife of Allen F. Savel, devoted mother of Scott (Moira) Savel and Sandi (Joe) Giancola; cherished grandmother of Miranda Savel and Allie Giancola; dear sister of Robert (Mickie) Fencl; fond sister-in-law of Cheryl Zrostlik; kind aunt of Kay (Steve) Herring, Bob (Adrian) Fencl, Becky (Joe) Thompson, and Kay Zrostlik; and dear friend of Beverly (Larry) Atseff. Visitation Friday, October 23, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, where a chapel service will be held at 8 p.m. that evening. Interment private. Beverly was an award winning weaver, sharing her creative gifts as a partner and instructor at 2-B Weavers in Hinsdale and Western Springs, and as a craft director/volunteer coordinator at Graue Mill and Museum. She was a member and past president of the Illinois Prairie Weavers, and past member of the DuPage Textile Arts Guild, the Weavers Guild of North Shore, and Handweavers Guild of America. She was honored as an Illinois Artisan. Her articles were published in “Handwoven,” “Interweave Press” publications, “Shuttle Spindle and Dyepot” and “Midwest Living.” She was recognized for her household and fashion creations at numerous Midwest and international weaving conferences, and family and friends will cherish the many beautiful woven gifts she generously shared. Beverly was a long-time animal lover – in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hinsdale Humane Society, 22 N. Elm Street, Hinsdale, Illinois. Service Info: (708) 352-6500
