Francis ReillyHonorable Francis J. Reilly, age 94 of Western Springs, formerly of Chicago . Born in New Hampton, Iowa to the late Frank & Mary(O’Connor) Reilly . Beloved husband of Rita(nee Burke). Loving father of Mary Ellen(Ron) Piatek, Daniel(Mary Alice Stack), James(Hon. Noreen M. Daly), Patti(Hon. Michael T. Mullen), and Kate. Fond brother of the late Joseph. Dear grandfather of John(Shannon), Colleen & Julie Piatek, Maura, Tim, Brian & Aileen Reilly, Claire, Katie, Michael Jr. & Conor Mullen. Proud graduate of Mount Carmel H. S., DePaul Univ. & DePaul Law School. U. S. Army WWII vet of the 82nd Airborne Div., Judge Advocate Sec. In 1948 Richard J. Daley hired him as an associate in the law firm Daley & Lynch. Throughout his 33 years at the Daley firm he worked with future mayors ( Richard J. Daley &  Richard M. Daley), & Michael Daley & John J. George. He left the firm of Daley, Reilly & George in 1981 when he was appointed an Associate Judge for the Circuit Court of Cook County. He proudly served the judiciary for over 13 years & retired from the Law Division in 1994. He was fortunate to spend the last 20 years wintering in Longboat Key, Fl. He was an avid golfer & DePaul basketball & ND football fan. A special thanks to his loving caregivers Audra, Leslie & Barbara. Visitation Saturday, March 28th, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with funeral Mass immediately following at 11:15 a.m. at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 Wolf Rd., Western Springs, IL 60558. Interment private Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to Adventist St. Thomas Hospice, P. O. Box 130 Hinsdale, IL 60522 or Big Shoulders Fund, 212 W. Van Buren Ste. 900 Chicago, IL 60607.

  1. My condolences to the Reilly family. Judge Reilly was a fair minded judge, an excellent lawyer and above all a family man who will be remembered for his kindness. He is in our prayers.

  2. rita, we were at 5PM mass at St. john of the CEOSS sat. when we heard of Franks passing. We were saddened by the news. we knew frank seeing you both at 5pm mass .Our sincere condolences to you and your family. We will reserve a place for Frank in the last pew . Cherish the memories.
