Stephany, John Robert, 83 born August 13, 1930 passed away April 19, 2014 joining his beloved wife Noreen May Stephany and daughter Mary Elizabeth (Floyd) Youngblood in eternal rest. John to everyone but family and Bob to loved ones grew up on the Northwest side of Chicago and attended St. Hyacinth Grade School and Holy Trinity High School. Upon graduation, Bob was the first in his family to attend university, most proudly studying civil engineering at the University of Notre Dame. Graduating in 1954, he then served our country as a Sargent in the United States Army from December 3, 1954 until November 27, 1956. Bob met his lovely wife Noreen while at ND and they married on October 8, 1954. In addition to the late Mary Elizabeth, he is survived by his children Margaret (Chris) Schnieder, Michael Stephany, Catherine (Bradley) Mayer. Nothing in this life meant more to him than his Grandchildren Anna, Matthew and Maggie Schnieder, Michael, Margaret. Madeline and Colleen Stephany and Noreen Mayer. Family and friends to gather for a visitation on Thursday, April 24, at St. Francis Xavier Church,(Corner of Spring and Ogden Aves.),in Lagrange from 10:00 am until time of a 12 noon Funeral Mass.
